Congratulations to the Scholars Bowl team of Kristen Titterington, Ann Erickson, Jon Lane, Donald Dyster, and Chris Jordan for their 3rd place finish at League.

Prom decorations committee will meet during activity period wed in Mrs. Ruckers room. We need to decide on a theme and colors. If you haven't already pick up some prom books in Mrs. Ruckers room. They are great for ideas.

Workers are needed to help with the PTA Winter Fun Fest on Saturday. Times are early so you can still make it to the Winter Royalty Dance. If you are interested -- see Mrs. Lamb.

SENIORS: The representative from K-State will be at Tonganoxie this morning at 8:30. If you would like to speak with her, please sign up on the bulletin board by the Counselor's Office or ask your teacher to call Mrs. K. Walker.

JUNIORS: The Kansas Highway Patrol and the Kansas American Legion co-sponsor an Annual Cadet Law Enforcement Academy to help young men and women gain knowledge regarding the training and responsibilities of law enforcement officers. The next academy is scheduled for June 1 – June 6, 2008. The application must be submitted by March 31, 2008.

SENIORS: If you have a parent or grandparent who is a Veteran of a Foreign War and is active in a local VFW chapter or was up until their death, if they've passed on, you may be eligible for a scholarship. See Mrs. K. Walker immediately.

There will be a short golf meeting Wednesday right after school in Mr. Jackson's room in the Annex building. If you are planning on going out for golf this Spring you should either be at the meeting or see Mr. Jackson sometime this week if you cannot make it to the meeting.

Attention: The Exercise 4 Everyone Workout Session is this Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 3:30 pm in the Chieftain Room in the east campus. Come learn to workout using just your own body weight. All students and teachers are invited.

Winter Royalty will be on Feb. 2nd in the west campus gym from 8:30 – 11:00. Admission is $5. It is a maskarade, so make sure you wear a mask. If you’re bringing a guest, please stop by the office and pick up a guest permit. They must be turned back into the office by Friday.
