Announcements for January 25, 2008

Congratulations to FBLA Members who went to districts. Tonganoxie placed 3rd as a school. Top ten placers are posted outside Mr. Jackson’s room.

ATTENTION TEACHERS:
On Friday, January 25, students are to be released during 3rd hour at 10:36 am, approximately 5 minutes early from class for a healthy snack break. Students in the west campus are to report to the commons to receive their snack and students in the east campus are to report to the Chieftain Room to receive their healthy snack. Thank you for your cooperation.

SENIORS: If you would like to be considered for one of the KCKCC Presidential Scholarships for free tuition, please stop by and talk with Mrs. K. Walker. The application deadline is Feb. 15.

Attention: The Exercise 4 Everyone Workout Session is next Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 3:30 pm in the Chieftain Room in the east campus. Come learn to workout using just your own body weight. All students and teachers are invited.

K-State will host a Pizza Party in Lawrence on Wednesday, January 30 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Students and parents are invited for an informal program where you have the opportunity to find out more about K-State and get excited about becoming a Wildcat. The event is free. Prizes will be given away. Pick up registration information from Mrs. K. Walker.

Attention Seniors: Please check the list on the bulletin board next to the east campus office. If your name is on the list, we still need your pictures for the yearbook. If you don’t get these in ASAP, you will not be in the yearbook. If you have questions, ask Mr. Harrell.

Winter Royalty will be on Feb. 2nd in the west campus gym from 8:30 – 10:30. Admission is $5. It is a maskarade, so make sure you wear a mask.

Juniors: If your parents buy their electricity from the Leavenworth-Jefferson Electric Cooperative, you are eligible to apply for one of two all-expense paid trips for next summer--one to Washington, D.C. and the other to Steamboat Springs, CO. Pick up an application from Mrs. K. Walker. You must apply by Feb. 8.
