Announcements April 24, 2008

A family in Tonganoxie is looking for a summer babysitter for two boys ages 5 and 8. The hours would be 7:30 - 4:00, Monday - Friday. For more details, see Mrs. K. Walker

Prom deposit may be picked up in the east office during passing periods only.

This week we will be celebrating Earth week. It can take aluminum cans and plastics 500 years to break down.

We will be picking up trash around the school Friday afternoon. Volunteer/Community service hours will be available.

FCA will be hosting the area-wide Awesome Night at Tonganoxie High School on Sunday April 27th from 5:00p to 7:00p. There will be games, food, and worship. Be sure to bring a bag of chips for our xtreme chip party. You don’t want to miss this!

This week is our Athletic Shoe Drive. Please recycle gently used athletic shoes such as cleats and tennis shoes. Tie matching pairs together and place at the appropriate bins located near the entrances of both buildings.

SENIORS: We have just received information on the Q104 Scholarship Fund Essay Contest. Q104 is offering one Grand Prize--a $5000 scholarship. To enter, graduating seniors must write an essay on the “Gas Prices and Their Effect on the Economy” and submit it to Mrs. K. Walker by Wednesday, May 14. Stop by the Counselors’ offices and pick up a copy of the guidelines for the scholarship.
